Who is Jacob "Trae" Vickers?
Trae was born and raised in Winchester, VA. He is a proud graduate of John Handley High School. He has a Bachelor of Science from Gardner-Webb University in Psychology and a Master of Science from Shenandoah University in Organizational leadership.
Trae has been proud to call Frederick County home for the last 14 years. Trae has prior professional experiences in the human services field and most recently in the financial industry.
In the community, Trae doesn’t just show up, he serves. He is the chairman of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Carnival, volunteers as a high school football official, has served on the United Way grant panel selection committee, has served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, and has served on the Child Advocacy Center Board of Directors.
He and his wife, an educator of 18 years, have a 2.5 year old son who will attend FCPS starting in the fall of 2028. His sister is an FCPS educator and his niece attends James Wood High School. He believes that FCPS is a strong school system and can continue to grow even stronger with a true voice for teachers, students, and citizens on the school board.
